Weekly Report - March 4

120 Palestinians were killed by the IDF in the Gaza Strip after an Israeli man was killed by a Qassem rocket in Ashkelon. Those dead in Gaza included 6 women and 34 children. B’Tselem reported that at least 54 of those killed were innocent bystanders.

11 buildings were demolished, and another 55 were damaged. Roughly 250 Gazans crossed Rafah into Egypt in order to receive medical treatment there.

Five Palestinians were killed in the West Bank during the Gaza offensive, one of whom was a seventeen year-old boy from Ramallah who was killed by Israeli settlers.

Twenty-six demonstrations were organized in the Strip to protest the IDF’s actions, and several other demonstrations took place throughout Israel. 61 Palestinians were injured in demonstrations in the West Bank, half of whom were in Hebron.

A total of three Israelis were killed during the week.

588 dunams of land in the West Bank were requisitioned by the IDF for road construction.

A total of 146 curfew hours were imposed on communities in Nablus, Qalqiliya, Tulkarm, and Bethlehem, affecting 25,000 Palestinians. OCHA reported 116 flying checkpoints, 120 search operations, and 119 arrests.
